What do Princess Diana, Cinderella and PVC have in common? They all inspired this season’s most exciting footwear collaboration: Off-White™ x Jimmy Choo. For Spring Summer 2018, fashion’s hottest property, Virgil Abloh - creative director of cult label Off-White™ - worked with Jimmy Choo’s Sandra Choi to create a collection of shoes that will be all over your instagram feed before next season hits.

Inspired by the late Princess Diana, who was a devotee of the footwear label, Abloh and Choi have redefined modernity with a collection of classics that are cleverly updated with a street wear twist. These shoes aren’t just a collaboration: they are collectibles, as lust-worthy for their immediate cult status as they are for their street style pull.

For Choo, this marks the first time that the iconic label has collaborated on a commercial shoe collection with a ready-to-wear house. Though Off-White™ may not seem an immediately obvious match for a footwear label known for producing ageless, iconic shoes, the collaboration marks a period in fashion in which classic and contemporary are coming together more seamlessly than ever: just look at Manolo Blahnik and Rihanna for proof that it works. “To collaborate with a brand like Off-White™ allows Jimmy Choo to explore a new avenue and take part in a different conversation.’”says Sandra Choi, describing the collaboration as “a beautiful and surprising collection with unexpected links to the roots of our brand.”
